Lincoln's preseason schedule released on Pointstreak

Quick article this morning with information that I know everyone out there in #StarsNation will appreciate.

Pointstreak has posted the USHL preseason schedule on its website.  I will post Lincoln's schedule below.  We already knew about 5 of the preseason games (3 at the USHL Atlantic Challenge, and 2 at the USHL Fall Classic).  Added to those five games are three more, including two at the IceBox!

I'll have to go back and research this a bit, but I can't remember the last time the Stars hosted a preseason game at the IceBox.  I think it may have been a game against the Tri-City Storm in 2009.  Regardless, I'm very stoked about the two home preseason games.

Friday, September 5th:  Cedar Rapids RoughRiders vs. Lincoln Stars  - 5:00pm EST - (USHL Atlantic Challenge in East Meadow, NY)

Saturday, September 6th:  Lincoln Stars vs. Team USA  - 3:30pm EST - (USHL Atlantic Challenge in East Meadow, NY)

Sunday, September 7th:  Lincoln Stars vs. Muskegon Lumberjacks - 12:30pm EST - (USHL Atlantic Challenge in East Meadow, NY)

Friday, September 12th:  Tri-City Storm vs. Lincoln Stars - 7:05pm CST - (at the IceBox)

Saturday, September 13th:  Lincoln Stars vs. Tri-City Storm - 7:05pm CST - (at the Viaero Event Center in Kearney, NE)

Tuesday, September 16th:  Sioux City Musketeers vs. Lincoln Stars - 7:05pm CST - (at the IceBox)

Friday, September 19th:  Lincoln Stars vs. Sioux Falls Stampede - 4:00pm CST - (USHL Fall Classic in Sioux City, IA)

Saturday, September 20th:  Muskegon Lumberjacks vs. Lincoln Stars - 1:00pm CST - (USHL Fall Classic in Sioux City, IA)

So the Stars will play a total of 8 preseason games in 16 days.  No rest for the weary.  This will give the Lincoln coaches and GM a good opportunity to see which players deserve to stay in Lincoln once the regular season begins in late September.

I believe you are right Yeti - 09 vs TC & we won 3-2 in a shootout.

#StarsNation will notice a few changes in and out of the Ice Box on the 12th. No animals and balloons on the south side any longer! Great job by Tanner and the crew on the inside this summer to freshen things up.

Is Tanner the new rink manager, Melbye?

I can't wait to see all of the changes inside of the IceBox. The outside changes look fantastic. No more farm animals!

Yep. Tanner Baker.

am very surprised by this announcement of 2 games at the Icebox in the preseason. I was resigned to the fact that as long as UNL is in charge of the grounds that we wouldn't have any preseason games because of parking fees. am really excited to see the Stars in action!
