The Lincoln Stars gutted out a 3-2 victory Friday night in Sioux City, IA over the Musketeers to claim two important points in franchise game #1,000.

Click here to view the Pointstreak boxscore.  The Stars are now 7-3-0 in their last 10 games played.

The win improved Lincoln's record to 35-21-3 (73 points), good enough still for third place in the USHL Western Conference.  The two teams below Lincoln in the standings, Waterloo and Omaha, both won last night.  Click here to view the current USHL standings.

Scoring for the good guys last night was Vinni Lettieri, Justin Woods, and Phil Marinaccio.  Lettieri led all Stars with two points (1g, 1a), and was +2 on the night.  Jackson Teichroeb once again stood tall in net, stopping 26 of 28 shots on goal to win his third straight game, and 14th overall.

It's a beautiful day here in Lincoln, and I have a ton of stuff to do, so I will try to update this article later today with a full recap.

The Stars are in Sioux Falls tonight to take on the first-place Stampede, who surprising lost at home last night to the Omaha Lancers.  Unfortunately, I think that means the Stars will face a pissed off Sioux Falls club tonight.

Go Stars.

I ran out of time. A thousand apologies. If "you're" going to bitch at me, at least have the nuts to leave your own name. Too easy to leave an anonymous, drive-by comment. See ya.
