The Stars improved to 6-0-0 in six games against the Sioux City Musketeers this season. Lincoln has outscored them 28-14 in those six contests.
With the win and the two points, the Stars improved to 28-17-3 (59 points) and are now in a tie for third place in the USHL Western Conference with the Waterloo Blackhawks.
Lincoln ahead of Omaha in the standings....it's a beautiful sight. :) Lincoln holds the tiebreaker against Waterloo, also.
Scoring for the Stars tonight was Dominik Shine (3), Riley Bourbonnais, Luke Johnson, Eric Schied, Brad Hawkinson, and Justin Woods. The Stars went 4-for-6 on the powerplay (yes, you read that correct). Michael Bitzer got the win in net, his 17th of the season.
I've got to get some sleep, so I'll try to update this article with a full recap tomorrow. Crazy game tonight! I think this tweet of mine from the second period pretty much sums it up!
Stars are 4-for-6 on the powerplay, and Mike McKee has zero penalty minutes. What alternate universe am I living in?

Interesting game and nice to see the PP finally click a little bit, but more of the same struggles on the PK. On to Fargo and lets root for Sioux City tonight and Tri City tomorrow night. That feels weird. Go Stars!
