Brandon Bollig scores first NHL goal (and point) in playoff game

Lost in the excitement of the Stars winning the west last night was the news of former Lincoln fan favorite Brandon Bollig scoring his first NHL goal (and point) in the Chicago Blackhawks 4-3 OT playoff victory over the Phoenix Coyotes.  I was watching this game live when it happened, and Mrs. Yeti and myself really got a kick out of Brandon's expression after his goal.  Huge smile!  Bollig's goal was an important one, as it knotted the game up at 2-2 in the second period.  What a shot, too!  Nasty wrister from Bollig.

Anyway, click play below to watch the video.  I'm also going to post a couple of before and after photos of his goal, courtesy of the Chicago Tribune.

I happened to be watching at the time also. I agree with Yeti. I don't think I've ever seen a smile bigger than the on Brandon after that goal. What a snipe too!
What a treat it is to see former Stars make good in the NHL!
How long until we see a Bollig banner hanging over the south entrance at the Ice Box?
