Kevin Roy named USHL Offensive Player of the Week

For the second time this season, Lincoln Stars forward Kevin Roy was named "CCM USHL Offensive Player of the Week" by the USHL.  Click here to read the official USHL press release.  Here's an excerpt from the article:

Roy scored six points (3g, 3a) and registered a plus-three rating as the Stars earned a weekend split vs. Fargo.  On Friday, the 18-year-old scored a third-period goal in the 4-2 loss.  He then exploded for a five-point night (2g, 3a) in the 8-3 victory on Saturday.  His shorthanded goal proved to be the game-winner and extended his goal streak to four games.

Roy is currently riding a six-game point streak, recording all of his 15 points (8g, 7a) this season during that span.  His point total is third overall in the USHL and the Lac Beauport, Quebec native is tied for the League lead with eight goals.  It is the second time this season he has earned the weekly award.

Congrats to Kevin!  After going pointless in the first three games of the season, Roy has put up some unbelievable numbers (15 points) in his last six games.  Keep up the great work!
