Former Star Carter Camper named Hobey Baker Award finalist

Thanks to the blog reader who brought this to my attention on the B³ Facebook page.

Former Stars forward Carter Camper has recently been named as a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award which goes to the top National Collegiate Athletic Association men's ice hockey player.  Carter is a senior captain on the Miami of Ohio Redhawks hockey team.  In 38 games this season, Camper scored 56 points (19g, 37a) to lead the Redhawks in scoring.  The Redhawks finished the regular season as the #4 ranked team in the country, and they soon will be participating in the 2011 NCAA Tournament.  Camper was also recently named the CCHA Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

players who are also nominated for the Hobey Baker.

Congrats to Carter on all of his accomplishments!  We can all be very proud of what he has done since playing here in Lincoln.  Now get out there, spread the word, and vote Carter Camper for Hobey Baker!
