B³ Postgame Recap 3/11: Lincoln 3, Fargo 0

Two points closer to Fargo!  Choo Choo!

I will update this article with a full recap tomorrow morning, but I wanted to get this up tonight in case any of our readers want to leave comments.  Stars go on the road tonight and get a big win over the Fargo Force by a score of 3-0.  Click here to view the Pointstreak boxscore.  Lincoln had goals from Matt Prapavessis (PP), Eric Scheid, and John McCarron (PP).  Stars goaltender Kevin Murdock stopped all 32 shots on goal to record his fifth shutout of the season.  The Stars are now only 5 points behind fourth-place Fargo in the USHL Western Conference standings.

Lincoln will battle the Force again tomorrow night at Scheels Arena in Fargo, ND.  Puck drops at 7:05pm on Saturday night for that game.

Enjoy the big win!  Great effort tonight!

Go Stars.

We are in Fargo and the team played great last night. They worked hard to force turnovers, raced to every puck, and never let up. Then at the end you could tell they were playing hard so that Doc could get his shutout. It was a good game, great team effort and hopefully they can keep it going!

Nice win guys! Way to come up big on the road. I hope they can keep the momentum up for tonite as well. I saw that the box score says that Murdock stopped 31 shots which just makes it even more impressive. Heard that Shine got hurt though. Does anyone know what happened? Was it during the fight or after it? It's good to see the Stars come out and stomp on a good opponent like that!

Good jobs guys, keep it up. Hope Dom is not hurt and has to miss time. Not to totally hijack the thread but Gregroie had a hat trick last night in the UND win. Good jobs Gregs!! http://www.grandforksherald.com/event/article/id/196505/group/Sports/

Sam,

Shine dropped the mitts with Fargo defenseman Brian Cooper and caught a punch in the face. Sounds like as Shine was falling down, Cooper added a number of shots on top of the one that stunned Shine.

Coach Johnson said after the game that Shine got better as the game went on, and wanted to return, but because it was a head injury...they want the doctors to look at him before he gets back on the ice. Hopefully he's back in action tonight.
