Pretty boring game if you ask me, the frist period was prob the most boring pd of hockey ive seen all year. Things got a little better in the 2nd but through my lens not alot happend. Now the 3rd look was the most exciting pd of the game and thats when things started to get chippy.Im not saying thats the only thing that makes a game good but with our size over Sioux Falls I wanted to see us throw our weight around a bit more in last nights game. To me most of the game was just bland.

Is it just me or does it seem like Wagner is dwelling way to much on the past, Seems like every article has to bring up last yr? Even though we won the game, The article almost seemed as if we lost. To me, the article had a negative vibe to it.

i totally agree with you Layla. it seems like the JournalStar just doesn't like the Lincoln Stars for some reason. all of their articles about the Stars lately seem to focus on the bad about the team, and talk about how bad they are doing. on Friday they will have an article about how good the opposing team is doing and how the Stars don't stand a chance. and maybe it's just me, but it seems like whenever the Stars lose, they have that article at the top of the homepage, but when we come off of a big win, it's buried somewhere down in the sports section. i thought it was just my imagination, but i'm glad i'm not the only one who has noticed this.

ANYWAY, it was an awesome game last night, with a big crowd. the Stars definitely earned that win. just gotta keep playing tough like we did last night, and we will have no problem making the playoffs. and did we really get chicken? i know Craig (announcer) said we did after the game, but the Stars did not score a goal in two consecutive periods.. we scored in the 2nd period and the overtime period. i see nothing about it on the Stars website or their facebook page.

I'm not sure why Wagner keeps bringing up last season when talking about this season. It's a brand new team. New players, new coaches, new mindset. He can find the negative in just about anything. That gets really old. The LJS does a crappy job of following the Stars anyway. Unless someone sends me a link to one of his stories, I normally avoid the LJS when it comes to the Stars.

lincolnfan: Good point about the OT goal last night....Craig did say though we won chicken. Has anyone tried to redeem their ticket today at Raising Cane's?

Did anyone out there have a good look at the disputed first period goal by the Stars? I've heard some say they saw Anderson (lead referee) point towards the goal, which would indicate he believed the shot went in. From my seat, it looked like the puck never crossed the goal line, but from Section J...I didn't have the best angle. Sounds like the goal judge was adamant that the puck went in.

Did anyone see what happened to Rasmus Juell last night? He was skating around during warmups, but I swear I didn't see him at all during the game. Was he injured?

I'm going to really try to update this article with a more in-depth recap sometime today. I'm getting a cold, and it's kicking my butt. Not a lot of energy.

Yetti,

I have the "goal" on camera and from my shots the puck wasnt in any of the frames, normally you will see the puck in some of them weather it be goin in the net, in the net or comming out of the net and they werent in any frames until the SF player had the puck back on his stick to clear it. Anderson did point at the goal but from what my camera caught I say that there was no goal.

I have a photo of Juell in the game Friday night but like Yeti, I don't remember seeing him in the game after that. he was a scratch last night so he must have been injured

I saw the ref point as if to signal a goal but from my viewpoint, I didn't think the puck went in.
