Stars Head Coach Chad Johnson Returns to Team

I heard about this earlier today, but wanted to wait until the Stars website released it before saying anything on the blog.  Great news!  Click here to read the full article from the Stars website.  Here's an excerpt from the article:

Head Coach and GM Chad Johnson has rejoined the Stars' coaching staff and is expected to be behind the bench for this weekend's games against the Tri-City Storm and the Chicago Steel.  In late September, Johnson had requested a personal leave of absence at the advice of his physicians to allow him to deal with a medical condition.  He briefly met with the players on Thursday afternoon after their practice, and will join them on the ice tomorrow during their pregame skate.

"I'm obviously excited to be back with the coaches and players, and appreciate the patience and support that the Stars fans have shown over the past few weeks," said Johnson.  "I feel great, and I'm happy to be back in Lincoln and ready to get back to work."

Glad to hear Chad is ok, and will be back on the bench. I hope the boys do well, but I also would like to hear him say something pre or post game concerning the past few games. My personal feeling (I absolutely know nothing) is that Jimmy was following the plan.

It will be nice to put all of the comments to rest for good.

Go Stars. Hope to see the record 3-3 at the end of Saturdy night. I am bringin a friend from Omaha on Saturday, and I hope he gets to see a really good show.
