Snapshots of the Game: Lincoln Stars vs. Tri-City Storm 10/1

Once again, thanks to Brandon Anderson for taking these great pictures.  I'm a big fan of Brandon, and you can see why.  He takes amazing photographs.  If anyone out there would like to contact Brandon privately and inquire about ordering any of his pictures, you can reach him at this email address:  bapics@live.com

Eric Scheid scores the GWG in the shootout.  If you look closely, you can see the puck in mid-air.

Anonymous at 12:16, glad you found the blog? How'd you find it? Google search? Facebook? i'm always curious.

Thanks to Brandon for these great pictures. It's always nice, especially for those of us who couldn't make the trip to see it in person.

would probably have to ask Brandon for the original high res image to really tell about the finger. it would be middle or could be index. with this size pic, can't tell how many knuckles are showing.

Looks like the middle finger to me, but it really doesn't matter. I've seen our own fans at the IceBox do the same thing. There are bad apples in every USHL rink. We're definitely not immune to idiots at the IceBox.

Anonymous @12:16 I did take photos for the stars last year but due to a photo that was published elsware of some "stars" fans disresepcting the team I was let go from the stars at "offcial" photog. I started out as a fan of the team and will keep shooting as a fan and supplying this blog with photos through out the year.

I had a dumb fan throw pop corn on me and my buddy twice while we were at the game Friday. The first time he threw a couple pieces at me when I jumped up and clapped when we scored to tie it in the first... Then he threw the rest of his pop corn on me when Tri City tied it in the 3rd. I turned around and realized I was out numbered by a bunch so I decided I should not assume who'd been throwing it on me. However, the Storm fan directly behind me apologized for being treated like that, which I thought was cool... But when we won the game in the SO, I picked some of his wasted pop corn up and threw it in the air is I clapped all the way to the top of the stair way. Go Stars...

TC's full of good and bad fans. The guy givin the finger is a Ture TC hockey fan, i'm sure it's not ment in any other way than, he was mad his TC team lost. we're all guilty of being passionate, sometimes more than others.

Hey, I'm a passionate fan also. That doesn't mean I think it's ever a good idea to flip the bird whenever I feel like it at a hockey game.

As they say in "Forrest Gump," stupid is as stupid does.

i think this may have been mentioned before, but this was posted today in regards to the parking process at the Ice Box on Friday...

"A reminder to season ticket holders--to expedite the parking process, please have your red parking pass visible to the attendants as you enter the grounds. All entrances will have "express" and "cash" lanes available to incoming traffic, and all three entrances to the grounds will be open (east, west, south). Arrive early to avoid the rush."

here's a link to the short little article on the Stars website.. http://www.lincolnstars.com/leagues/newsletter.cfm?clientID=4806&leagueID=16793&page=47212 it also mentions about the Hall of Fame video this Friday at the home opener.

Thanks for that, lincolnfan.

We'll also touch on those subjects soon in a weekend preview article.

Any predictions on the new inductee/inductees? I'm going with Backes and possibly Boll.

Stars President Jim Pflug said this past Friday on the radio that the Stars would be inducting "between one and five players" at the home opener. Could be two, three, or four players.

If I had to guess, I'd say Backes, Boll, and Fouts. This might be a good idea for an article.
