B³ Linkorama

I've had some links sitting in my inbox for some time now, and I'm just getting around to posting them now.  Sorry for the delay.  Real life sometimes gets in the way of blogging.

The Muskegon Lumberjacks are looking to one-up the Stars' pregame light show with their own.  Click here to read more.

"Checking In" with former Stars defenseman Chad Langlais, now playing for the University of Michigan.  Click here to read more.

Former Stars goaltender Jared Coreau getting some early playing time at Northern Michigan University.  Click here to read more.

Former Stars defenseman Matt Bartkowski was one of the last Boston Bruins cuts before the start of the regular season.  Bart will start the season playing for the Bruin's AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins.  Bart impressed the Bruins so much that he will most likely be called up to the big club in Boston very soon this season.  Click here to read more.

Former Stars forward Carter Camper is a finalist for the "Lowe's Senior CLASS Award," which recognizes excellence in the community, classroom, character, and competition.  Click here to read more.

Now, some videos I'm sure you will all enjoy.

Recent Stars Hall of Fame inductee David Backes of the St. Louis Blues helped set a Blues team record in a recent game against the Anaheim Ducks.  Backes and his teammate Andy McDonald both scored within six seconds of one another.

Speaking of David Backes, not only is he a stud NHL'er, and Stars Hall of Fame inductee, but he's also contributes his time and money helping the St. Charles Humane Society, a no-kill animal shelter in Missouri.  Backes, and his wife Kelley, started "David Dogs," which promotes animal adoption.  Gotta love a guy who sticks his neck out for those animals who need help the most.

Another video of Backes helping out at the St. Charles Humane Society:
