Stars to practice in Omaha the next two days

From the official Lincoln Stars website.  Click here to read the article.  Here's the quote:

The Lincoln Stars step on the ice tonight for their first practice of the season at Moylan Ice Plex in Omaha. The Stars are scheduled to practice in Omaha again on Tuesday night as they wait for the ice to be ready at the Ice Box. The first practice at the Ice Box is scheduled for Wednesday, with their first exhibition game against the Tri-City Storm on Thursday in Kearney.

Head Coach Chad Johnson is looking forward to getting the team back on the ice after players reported last night for their initial team meeting. "Guys are excited and ready to get things started on the ice after working hard this summer with their off-ice conditioning program. Our main focus during the first few days of practice will be to get out of the "summer mode" and get game-ready as we start with this week's exhibition games."

Hmm, so go to the Ice Box event or go watch the Stars practice in Omaha?

P.S. I've always wondered, does anyone know if Stars practices are open to the public or if anyone actually goes. I've been there sometimes to buy tickets or go to Faceoff Sports and they're practicing, and I feel weird watching cuz no one else is ever there. Just curious if anyone here ever watches a practice or knows if it's allowed or not.

Who is all planning on going to the exhibition game on Saturday in omaha? I am planning on going up early to get tickets then go eat before the game so that I can make sure I get tickets then get a good seat! Just wondering if I will see any other black and blue there!

Totally unrelated, but I've had a couple of people email me this bit of news. Former Stars goaltender Matt Green has been traded from the Tri-City Storm to the Youngstown Phantoms. Good news to hear Matt has a home in the USHL this season. Good luck to him.

Found out tonight at the UNO Road Show event that the Stars were unable to practice last night in Omaha due to the nasty thunderstorms that rolled through around 5pm. They'll be up there tonight practicing, and back in Lincoln tomorrow for the first practice at the IceBox.

I have been to Stars practices in the past. I don't believe they are closed to the public. I don't think anyone will bother you if you want to watch a practice.
