Monday Mailbag

Some of these articles have been sitting in my email inbox for awhile now.  It's a little slow right now, so I thought I'd post them.  Some good offseason reading for sure.  Thanks to the folks to brought the articles to my attention.  I appreciate it.

Looking forward to future articles, hopefully we'll hear from the USHL this week in regards to the 2010-11 game schedule, and how the playoffs will work with three divisions.  As soon as that information is made public, we will post it here.

As always, if you run across any articles online related to the Stars, feel free to send the links to me so I can throw them up on the blog.  Email:  lincolnstarshockey@gmail.com

    Thanks.

    From the Stars website:

Former Star Jimmy Hayes (who currently plays for Boston College) was recently traded to the Chicago Blackhawks from the Toronto Maple Leafs. Hayes' brother Kevin is also a top prospect for the Blackhawks, being selected in the first round of the 2010 NHL Draft.

...to watch Jimmy's interview about the possibility of playing in the NHL with his brother. Select "Blackhawk News/ Post-Game" on left, then "Prospect Camp Day 1: Jimmy Hayes" interview on right.

    Oh, and by the way...
Just because it's summer, does that mean we have to wait until October to vote for David Reekie?

Hiya gang! I was just checking up on the latest and hoped to see the schedule posted, but alas... we'll have to wait another day... or two...?
Sorry I haven't been around much this summer, but much of it has been occupied with relocating behind enemy lines to Omaha. Never fear though, there is a ZERO chance of me donning any orange this season, let alone in the future! And you can rest assured, I will still be the same 'ol Norfolk Fan (most of) you all have come to know. I figure six seasons of 2 1/2 hour drives back and forth to the Ice Box oughta give me dibbs on keeping this moniker for a while longer.
Take care, stay cool, and Go Stars!

Thanks for stopping by, NF. I was hoping to run into you at tryouts. Glad to hear you're surviving behind "enemy lines." :)

    Don't be a stranger.

NF, new poll question up just for you :)

Is anyone having any problems with their vote showing up in the current poll question? I've already heard from a couple of people whose votes aren't appearing.

I just voted, and it showed up, but mine is the only vote.

Same as bells, I voted and the results only showed my vote as well.

Thanks, Carl. I think the poll feature is a little buggy. In Firefox, I see my vote..but no others. In IE, I see other votes but not the one I made.

I'm going to take the poll question off the blog for now until I can figure out what the problem is. Might be an issue with the blogger.com software.
