Snapshots of the Game - Team USA U-18 at Stars 2/27

From the game this past Saturday, I chose two pictures taken by Stars photographer Brandon Anderson.  The first photo is of Stars defenseman Cory Hibbeler walking though the tunnel to the ice, while getting some love from the fans.  The second photo is a great shot of Team USA goaltender Jack Campbell doing his best impression of a sprinkler.

I know this is off-topic, but does anyone know what happened to the player interviews on the official Stars website? There isn't a link them where they used to be. Stars radio announcer did the interviews. I checked it today, hoping to see a new interview....and the link to it is gone.

The link has been gone for a couple weeks. We thought they had taken it down to add new interviews, but it never showed back up. Hope they have not given up for the season :(

i noticed too and was kind of sad b/c i really enjoy listening to them. I really hope they put it back up so that even if they dont add any new ones, we can listen to the old ones. It was always interesting to hear from the players on the interviews and i loved listening to them!

Anonymous,

I agree. One of my favorite Melbye interviews was with Jon Puskar. He sounded like a really good kid, and the kind of person you'd want in your locker room. He had a great attitude.

Melbye had a blog last season that I enjoyed reading as well. I wish he would have done that this season also.

Same topic, but what happened to the blue line blog? It seems as though all interest has died. I remember a few years back when everyone had something to say. Don't we all still love the stars reguardless of the stats this season?

Anonymous, the Blue Line Blog was down all summer for a site redesign, and a lot of the BLB followers I think gave up waiting. Then when it did come back, many found the blog to be very un-user friendly. You have to "Join the group" to even leave a comment, and for some reason even though I "join the group" every time I try to post, my posts still never show up, so I gave up. IMO, the blog was better before the redesign. Sometimes you don't mess with success. Feel bad for Brent too, because it wasn't his fault at all.

as for the interviews, i just liked hearing about the roadtrips and pranks and stuff. Even thought you dont know the players, you feel like you do get to know them throughout the course of the season. I also liked how this season he had more than one player there for the interview. My favorite part has to be in the first set of interviews, i think it was Lynch's and Melbye asked if anyone else had a question for him and Gerths asked him what he wore to bed. I thought that was hilarious and i loved listening to the banter back and forth! Really wish he would bring them back! I also loved reading his "tales from the press box" last year.
