B³ Snapshots of the Game - Muskies at Stars 3/6

For this edition, I thought I'd honor the two Lincoln players who recently committed to college.  Defenseman Dax Lauwers is pictured first during the pre-game starting lineups.  Dax will be attending Army and playing hockey for the Golden Knights this Fall.  The second picture is forward Jarrod Mermis.  Jarrod will be attending Denver University and playing hockey for the Pioneers this Fall.  Congrats to Dax and Jarrod!  Stars Nation are proud of you both!  GO Stars!

Thanks to Brandon Anderson for these two shots.

BTW, I have read some rumors on other sites that Jarrod's little brother (Dakota) gave his verbal commitment to DU as well. Dakota played two games for the Stars earlier on this season.

ok so i will try again..
we went to the bowl with the stars today, it was a really fun event even though mary didnt get her perfect 300 game!!
i will have to say that these guys are some of the best behaved and most polite kids that any parent would ever want to have.
when they were asked to take a picture or give an autograph they never said no or turned away.
i brought 3 new kids to see what the booster club did and they had the best time hanging out with the players.
even the coaches and I.C. STARS made it to bowl.
with all the negativity that these guys know is out there they still ALL showed up and i really think they all had fun!!
what really impressed me, was how they came up and introduced themselves to us and did it with a smile!
the next thing they asked was if we went to the games. i think most at the event were season ticket holders, but still that was something these guys DO CARE about...
we all need to remember that they are here to play for their own future and they are trying their best to win and make us fans happy.
i didnt ask any of them how that felt about fan happiness or if they felt the fans were turning on them, today was just about having fun and being a part of the best team and fan support in the USHL.
win or lose the true fans will back these guys forever!!
as far as the bowling event went, every group went home with a prize and some even won more!!
the people at parkway lanes did a great job to make sure everyone was served and taken care of.
this bowling event went perfect and hats off to all that helped to have another fun day with the stars.
to end this long posting, i would like to say thanks to the players and all involved with the stars team.
i hope some day that my kids will learn from these players how to have fun and still be a team player.
thanks again to all that made this event a great time for my family and friends.
after all thats what it all about, having fun!!

see you all at the next home game!!!!!
