B³ Post-Game Recap 3/26: Lincoln 0, Cedar Rapids 3

Unfortunately, this is going to be yet another quick recap.  I didn't get a chance to listen to the game, so I'm pretty much in the dark in regards to how good or bad the Stars played last night.  The Stars fell 3-0 to the Roughriders Friday night in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  It was the fourth and final time the Stars and 'Riders faced each other this season, with Cedar Rapids going 3-1 in those four games.  Roughriders forward Zach Lehrke scored the first two goals of the game, and forward Jeff Costello potted his 29th goal of the season to wrap up the scoring.  The 'Riders outshot the Stars, 29-27.  Lincoln goaltender Matt Green stopped 26 of 29 shots in the loss.  Cedar Rapids goaltender Troy Grosenick stopped all 27 shots he faced to record his third shutout of the season.

Here are videos of the two fights from last night.  First one is Dominick Shine vs. Sam Warning.  Second video is Chris DelMauro vs. Jeff Costello.  You'll probably want to mute the sound before you watch both videos.  Apparently in Cedar Rapids, they all have fevers...and their prescription is "more cowbell."  Thanks to "Starfish" for the tip.

The final home game is tonight, against the Tri-City Storm.  Come out and support the players as some will take the ice for the final time at home for the Lincoln Stars.  The puck will drop at 7:05pm.  Lets pack the IceBox tonight and show the players we appreciate their efforts this season.  Go Stars.

Also, I would not be surprised if we see a goalie fight tonight...IF Coreau and Chubak are the starting goaltenders. Just throwing that out there.

i agree with anonymous above a goalie fight is up there but id rather have a win. of course if we get up by a few goals then have at it coreau.

Don't bring back some said...

Pathetic effort tonight. There are a few players out there that I really hope don't make the team next year or it will be a long season again.
