Pregame Report - Sioux City at Lincoln 3/7

Sioux City and Lincoln will play each other for the sixth and final time this regular season when the Muskies invade the Ice Box Saturday night. Lincoln leads the season series four games to one. Goaltender Anthony Borelli is 3-1 against the Muskies this season, with a 1.51 goals against average and a .943 save percentage.

Obviously, this is a game the Stars will be expected to win. Sioux City is more than capable of an upset, so the Stars will have to play a complete game. Despite their poor record this season, the Musketeers have the USHL's top power play unit. Leading the way for the Muskies on the PP are fowards Stephane De Costa, and Stephan Vigier. De Costa and Vigier have accounted for a total of 19 PP goals this season, and a total of 42 points on the PP. Those two will have to be watched very closely by the Stars defense if Lincoln wants to win this game. De Costa is a very skilled player, and is very dangerous. Coach McGroarty has said in the past that De Costa is one of the best forwards in the USHL.

No predictions this time. I just hope for a complete game from the Stars. No dumb penalties. Better passing on the PP. Old time hockey. 'nuff said. Let's win this one.

Faceoff is at 7:05pm.
